UK MUSIC: SKEPTA FT PREEYA KALIDAS – CROSS MY HEART”
Grime MC Skepta is back with the new single Cross My Heart, featuring former Eastenders star Preeya Kalidas.
Preeya left Eastenders earlier this year to pursue a career in music, but has allegedly already been dropped from her label (that was a surprise).
Cross My Heart is a track that BBC Radio 1 will rinse to death during the day and Tim ‘big dawg’ Westwood will probably play it on his BBC rap show, because Tim has suddenly turned in to a huge “Team UK” supporter now.
Anyway teenage girls ( 13-16) will no doubt adore Skepta’s latest effort.
The video – Well the video budget was definitely more than £500.00. It looks glossy, ‘storyboard’ inspired by US rap videos (circa 2000-2004) and makes absolutely no sense.

A doctor whose decomposing body was found in a narrow chimney suffocated to death after trying to break into her boyfriend’s home, California authorities said yesterday.
The body of Dr Jacquelyn Kotarac was discovered trapped in the chimney on Saturday – three days after she had apparently slid feet first down it into the house of her estranged lover, William Moodie.
According to police in Bakersfield, California, the 49-year-old doctor turned up at his house on the evening of Wednesday 25 August.
Moodie, however, did not want to see her. He left the house through the back door and spent the night elsewhere. Continue Reading….

UK MUSIC: MZ BRATT – SELECTA
Well… Mz Bratt’s Jafaken accent is interesting…..
But surprisingly I don’t hate the this track… it’s catchy, it’s a grower, and has the potential to become a hit single.
Selecta also takes me back to the mid 1990s when Jungle music was all the rage.
The video – I have a headache now.

NEW MUSIC: JUSTIN BEIBER FT KANYE WEST AND RAEKWON – RUNAWAY LOVE (REMIX)
When I first heard about this collaboration (Kanye’s idea) I looked at a picture of Raekwon taken during the glorious Wu-Tang era and sighed.
Die hard Raekwon / Wu-Tang fans must all be looking up to the sky and shaking their heads in despair.

WHY IS KANYE MOLESTING MY CHILDHOOD!?
I can understand why Bieber wanted too sing over this. I can understand why ‘Ye wanted to be a part of this. I cant understand why Rae wanted anything to do with rapping on a song that he already made classic with a teenage kid.
Picks up the gun, shoots everyone who likes this… just because.… takes Raekwon off the ipod (Dont look at me like that Rae, you did this to yourself).
Anyway Raekwon sounds good on the track (no surprises there), but other than that it’s the same old blend of Pop, Rap and R&B.

First of all let me thank Social Writers Blog for bringing singer/songwriter Taley Riley to my attention, who apparently co-wrote Chipmunk’s number 1 classic Oopsy Daisy.
Humanoid is Taley’s debut single and I’m sorry but Taley is just a Taio Cruz clone. His image.. his sound.. that’s Taio!
But the track is kind of catchy.
