PICS: THE 26TH MARTIN LUTHER KING CONCERT SERIES - JOHN LEGEND AND ESTELLE

John Legend and Estelle performed at the 26th Annual Martin Luther Concert Series last night (July 21st) in Brooklyn, New York.

SCOTT STORCH BROKE AND M.I.A

Scott Storch was once considered one of the “go to” producers in music. He was crafting hit after hit over the years, but as of late, his chart topping hits are few and far between, and reports of financial problems continue to surface.

His empire seems to be sinking, thanks to his lavish way of living, excessive spending, and poor money management, not to mention to downsizing music industry. Storch once commanded an estimated $100,000 per beat. But with the decline of music sales, labels refuse to pay those prices any longer.

According to reports, 34-year-old Storch is nowhere to be found these days. The Associated Press reports that Storch owes over $500,000 in real estate taxes for his $10.5 Miami waterfront mansion, and previously had warrants out for his arrest for not turning up in court in his child-support case in June. LIL WAYNE AND T-PAIN FLOP IN JAMAICA

This past weekend Lil Wayne and T-Pain performed at Jamaica’s annualReggae Sumfest , which took place in Montego Bay, and FLOPPED!

UDubNews reports that both failed to live up to the expected hype.

T-Pain’s performance was “painful” and only his backup dancers saved him.

As for Lil Wayne… well if it wasn’t for the two hundred plus teenage girls inside Sumfest, Lil’ Wayne would have failed to keep the entire audience’s attention.

No surprises here!  If Lil Wayne thought that a Jamaican audience made of Sizzla, Bounty Killer, Capelton and Mavado fans would put up with his offkey stage antics then he had another thing coming!

Those two hundred plus teenage girls saved his skin. Had they not been there he would have received several Red Stripe bottles to the head a long with a chorus of boos.

As for T-Pain….. Oh dear………

If you’re going to perform in front of a Jamaican audience make sure you come correct!

The late Notorious BIG and Diddy both learn’t that the hard way back in ‘95′ when they walked on to the stage yelling”where my niggas and bitches at”.

And the same also goes for R.Kelly, when he exposed his g-string for the benefit of the ladies in the audience - who of course went wild. However the men weren’t so enthusiastic……

BLACK PEOPLE WILL BE BANNED FROM ENTERING BARS DURING THE BEIJING OLYMPICS

Black people will be banned from going into bars in Beijing during the Olympics, it was claimed yesterday.

Chinese bar owners say police forced them to sign secret pledges - two weeks before the games.

One, who asked not to be named, said: “The police told me not to serve black people or Mongolians as they consider them drug dealers and pimps, so don’t let them in.” (Source)

Well isn’t that great. Even in 2008 we are still being banned from entering certain establishments around the world.

We are all considered drug dealers and pimps…. how ridiculously ignorant!  What complete and utter A-holes!

In Europe the film went under the title of ’Breakdance” but in the States I think it was called ‘Breakin’.

Anyway I LOVED this film. Absolutely LOVED it when it was first released.

RAPPER LIL SCRAPPY STABBED AND HELD WITHOUT BAIL

Warner Bros. recording artist Lil’ Scrappy is currently held without bail at the Dekalb County Jail in Decatur, GA, following a late night altercation that left the young artist stabbed, but in stable condition. While details of his arrest remain sketchy, AllHipHop.com has confirmed that the 24-year-old rapper, born Darryl Richardson, has been charged with firearm possession during a crime, marijuana possession, battery and obstruction of officers. While a bail amount totaling $1500 has been issued for the misdemeanor battery and obstruction charges, Scrappy remains in custody at this time, as authorities make a bail determination on the felony drug and gun charges. While Scrappy’s management did confirm with AllHipHop.com that an incident took place, they would not comment on the situation. Calls to the Dekalb County Police for additional information were not immediately returned.  Source
